Content Marketing

What The Heck Is Content Marketing?

Content Marketing is the idea that our customers are searching for content that solves a problem/need that they have.

We live in the ‘Age of Information’ and the Internet is the facilitator of that information.  The Internet has given our customers the power - the power of choice – what to listen to, what to watch, what to subscribe, who to follow/fan, what to buy and where from etc.

Our customers are after content that is interesting, relevant and compelling.  The content has to be good enough to grab their attention because the context of online marketing is that everything is very fast and attention spans are short.  People generally skim rather than read.  Once you have something that looks appealing/compelling, the content needs to keep them there (and come back again for more).

Our customers are looking for content in different formats because everyone is different and likes to consume content in different ways.  This means that now businesses have think and act differently if they are to stay relevant in this Age.  Businesses now have to think like publishers - always creating and churning out content that their customers want (not want they assume they want).

Content Marketing is the difference maker.
