Twitter is a great place for learning as well as being social.  Here is a list of people who I believe will add value to both your life and business.  Some of them specialise in a particular field of business or marketing but the thing they all have in common is that they rock – and they rock HARD!

Here are the 5 most interesting people every business should follow on Twitter:

1.  Amy Jo Martin (@AmyJoMartin):

Amy Jo Martin is simply a social media powerhouse  - there’s no other way to put it!

Few people have embodied the right balance of social with business.  As the founder of Digital Royalty, Amy has taken us all on a journey – her journey.  That’s what is so appealing.

Her honesty, sincerity and the way she has successfully humanised her brand have captured the attention of millions around the world.  A highly sought-after international speaker, a New York Times Bestseller with her debut book, ‘Renegades Write The Rules’  and acclaimed businesswoman, Amy is a business and social media pioneer.

Boasting over 1.2 million followers, Amy tweets about all kinds of things – life, business, marketing, social media, work-life balance – and it’s a whole lot of fun!

2.  Simon Sinek (@simonsinek):

If you haven’t heard of Simon Sinek then chances are you were about to very soon.  Sinek burst onto the online scene with his powerful TedTalks ‘Starting With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Action’.  This powerful concept has now made Sinek a very sought-after speaker.

His insights into business are fresh, addictive, powerful yet so simple for anyone to understand – oh and his leadership stuff will challenge the socks off you!

3.  Michael Hyatt (@MichaelHyatt):

I stumbled across Michael Hyatt by accident – and I’m so glad I did! Hyatt’s business background has made him more than qualified to teach others how to ‘lead intentionally’.  Hyatt’s podcast, ‘This Is your Life’ and blog is extremely popular and I’ve become a regular listener and reader.

Online, Hyatt has managed to create a solid online community.  He tweets his latest content but also nuggets of wisdom related to leadership, business and life in general.  Definitely not one to be missed!

4. Rand Fishkin (@randfish):

Let’s face it, there’s lots of marketing and SEO guys out there, but none as appealing as Rand Fishkin.  founder of SEOMoz, Fishkin has really established himself as one of the biggest authorities in SEO.

His content is second to none and in various formats. Expect detailed, practical SEO tips that you can implement in your business immediately.

5. Pat Flynn (@PatFlynn):

Pat Flynn rocks! His podcast ‘Smart Passive Income’ is beloved by so many people all around the world.  The man is so likeable.  His tips are insanely practical and detailed.  You can’t go wrong with any of his content.

Expect how to build a successful brand online; a highly engaged online community that you can monetise; create content that absolutely rocks and so much more.
