3 Reasons To Develop Content In Different Formats

Content Different Formats

Content Marketing is the most effective way for businesses to reach their customers.  Now more and more businesses are realising the importance of developing content that solves their customer’s problems/needs.  It is important to replicate your content in different formats (videos, blogs, podcasts, white papers, eBooks etc).  Here’s 3 reasons why you should replicate your content:

1.  Customer preference:

Everyone is different.  Everyone has personal preferences and tastes.  The same goes for how people like to consume content.  Not everyone likes video but they may enjoy listening to your podcast whilst they’re at the gym.  Not everyone likes podcasts but they may enjoy reading a blog on an evening.

It is important to replicate your content in the format that your customers prefer.

2.  Wider reach:

By replicating your content in different formats, you then open yourself up to a wider audience.  There may be untapped audiences in your industry who others haven’t managed to reach because no one has thought to do videos/podcasts/eBooks around that particular subject.

By diversifying your content, you diversify your audience.

3.  SEO:

The first two points were for the customers’ benefit.  This one is for your business.  Having content that is varied will do wonders for your SEO.  By picking titles that contain keywords/phrases that your customers are searching for will boost your chances of ranking highly in Google’s search results.

Now imagine, if you have a blog post, video, eBook, white paper all titled with the same keywords/phrases, then you will immediately increase your chances of being found by a wider audience and ranking higher in the search rankings.  There are ways to optimise your content for SEO e.g. blogs, videos.

Varied content that is keyword-rich means better SEO for your company.

By replicating your content you can see that you are able to reach a wider audience with a targeted message.  You can access more people that may never have come across your path otherwise and you can start to see big improvements in your SEO efforts.
